On National Public Lands Day, the Land Trust of the Treasure Valley is joining with REI for a trail work day that embraces the importance of coming together in support of public lands. We will do fall clean up on trails that traverse public and private lands. Learn more about this landscape, and give back by working side by side with others who value public lands.
After we gather at a central location and carpool to the work site, we will use hand tools to cut brush and weeds and smooth trail surfaces.
- Tools will be provided, although if participants have additional tools, that will be helpful.
- Participants will be expected to walk up to 4 miles on uneven ground.
- Some may also bike a longer section of the route, stopping to trim overgrown areas along the way.
Once the work is complete, we will gather to enjoy lunch and conversation- we'll bring the lunch and the beer, you bring the conversation!
REGISTER HERE. Details on equipment requirements, location will be provided upon registration.
Thanks to REI for being a strong support of open space and public lands!
