Pruning on the Doug Fir Loop

Are you ready to explore a little-used trail in the Boise foothills? Want to help open this trail up for other users?

The Doug Fir Loop is in need of pruning to help users safely and efficientely navigate this trail.

All tools and instruction will be provided. Volunteers should expect to hike anywhere from 8 miles downhill.miles and use loppers and handsaws on uneven surfaces as we go. Please bring water, snacks and lunch as this is going to be a long day. This project is suitable for everyone ages 12 and up - we do ask that minors be accompanied by an adult.

As much as we love hosting your dog, we do ask that you please leave your pooch at home.

Plan to meet at Harrison Hollow Trailhead. We will carpool to the trailhead from there.
