Are you an avid birder who wants to improve habitat at Hyatt Hidden Lakes? Interested in giving back to your community's open space reserves? Just looking for something fun to do on a beautiful Saturday morning?
Look no further - the Land Trust of the Treasure Valley, City of Boise Parks & Recreation, the Golden Eagle Audubon Society and the Boise River Enhancement Network are collectively working together to plant native riparian and upland vegetation in Hyatt Hidden Lakes to improve bird habitat.
Volunteers should expect to get their hands and knees dirty digging holes for native vegetation, using hand tools, carry 5-15 lb. worth of materials over uneven surfaces and to always have a smile on their face.
We'll plan to meet at the northern trailhead for Hyatt Hidden Lakes located just off of Maple Grove Road at 11:00 AM. Please bring any trowels and work gloves you might have.
